cheapest route is to buy a 2 axle international with the t444e and a syncronized 5psd. the truck can have air brakes and pull a trailer. tryin to put air brakes on a pick up will make you go crazy

FYI.
CDL not required if registered as an RV. Will be adding sleeper to meet that requirement (mattress, water bottle and jar to pee in is all you need). Regs don't reference RV's and DOL says there are no restrictions as to what you can pull or where you can pull it when it is RV (within its gross weight).

DOL says that truck weight restrictions are not applicable to these RV's - but you wont catch me driving through Bellevue residential districts. Don't have to stop at weigh stations either - but I do - nothing worse that a mad trooper cause he chased you 5 miles in rush hour to find out you are an RV - I would hate to see that citation for maintenance and operation field check.

I have experience driving these and bigger rigs - I just don't have the faintest idea on maintenance on air brake systems. Always have had a mechanic for that.

ok well then for rv thats cool. i figure you were tryin to pull a heavy tilt deck with air brakes with a pickup. it depends on what truck you plan on making into an rv. if you are usin a truck with hydraulic brakes and a trailer with air brakes then its gonna cost alot. what truck are you usin and what type of trailer you pullin?

well thats easy. what make of truck are you usin. you have all the air tanks you need but adding more tanks for both air systems wont hurt. alot of it is just replumbing air lines and adding a few valves.

Ford. Has extra large holding and other tanks. Trailer has its own tank. Just have to know where and how to add valves and hoses (both standard and emergency)to connect them.

best thing to do is get an air diagram for model your truck with air brakes for a trailer. your gonna need a dash control valve with trailer and tractor brake controls. tractor protection valve.
