I think my pile gets around 15-16mpg.  Good enough for me.  I rarely fill the tank so mileage checks are few and far between.

Good job for sure.... I can only muster about 15-16 running the 35's but swapping to stock size tires I can almost touch 18... I do seem to be getting better mileage since I swapped in the new fuel pump. Unverified for the time being...and I think I still have a leak somewhere...bowl probably... Roll Eyes

Is that the new CPS that has been causing problems for some people?

I think this is the new NEW CPS.... the last "new" one was light grey, dirt cheap and a POS. I have TWO of those ones.  One in the truck and one as a spare. Grin

I changed out the light grey one for the dark grey one because my idle went to shit with the light grey one.  Very rough. At first I was thinking it was winter temps, but it never got better, even when warmed up.

My series of CPS swaps started with the original black one going out, then another black one went in.  Then on TDS was the new big thing, the light blue DT466 CPS.  I put it in and ran it for about 4-5 years, maybe more.  Then I got the letters from Ford about the recall, put the spare black one back in, which they swapped to the light grey.  I left it in for about 3 months, hating the crappy idle and thinking about putting the light blue one back in.  Then I hear about the dark grey one, bought one and been happy since.

I see this dark grey CPS as very similar to the light blue DT466 CPS.   Maybe this dark grey one is actually a new one for the DT466?

I read something on TDS that said the dark grey one is not actually listed for the 444.

I am happy with it regardless.  And I have the light blue spare which I know works well.

I'm on 35's and have 3.73's, I run 85% backroads at sub50 mph, lots of stop and go. I usually have 1k-2k in the bed, and almost always see 15 mpg. On highway runs at 10+ above the posted limit...I get 16.

Towing 7-8k to Montana and back twice a year I usually see 14.

All of those are with the DP tuner set to kill at 140hp.

I can't wait to see some numbers on the new 6.7's.
Might have to get one when my truck hits 10yrs old.

I normally see mid 15s now.   That is my daily commute to work and a few side trips.

I just wanted to say with the original post, that 20 mpg can be had with the 7.3.  Even with a lifted 4x4 that weighs 8200lbs on 35s with 3.73s.

I think that's awesome that you got 20+. I know I could probably hit that too if I could just drive normal for a few tanks to get it recorded.  Huh

I try on occasion... I even set the tuner to 80eco...with the best intentions....then a ricer pulls up and,.....well we all know the rest.  Undecided

That run was an eonomy run.  I wanted to see what she could do.  I have run many miles across the USA from Seattle as far east as Ohio and south to San Diego.  Most of the runs never netted me more than 18mpg, so I wanted to see if I could get a really good number out of her.

Now that I am planning a trip back to Chicago, I am going to try a run with my flatbed trailer and see what she can do.  Planning on bringing some stuff from Chicago back to Seattle area.
