I havent done any towing but i've got friends that do all the time and all i ever hear about with gears and towing is highway speeds, hill climbs, and mileage. Which all fight each other. For mileage you need to cruise at 1700-2k RPM, but there's little power to be had there, power is found 2200-2600 RPM but theres no mileage found there, and to pass a Cummins/D-Max up a hill you gotta find the power AND be able to do 70MPH up the hill  Grin. 4.56's with 37's and your RPM'd out in Drive(1:1) at like 58MPH or less and cant push OD up the hills, and with 3.73's and 35's you have to do 80MPH+ to get into the power range. I've heard good things about the 4.10 and 37's combo, so I'd bet 4.30's and 38's would be right about perfect. These are with stock injectored 7.3's..

just my .02

Actually I've driven a set of grapplers. Not bad at all. Noisy for sure. but road manners were surprisingly better than I'd suspected. Only drove wet freeway.

lol...Did someone say Desert Dog? I got alot of trail miles under my belt on a set of dogs....Awesome off road, horrible on road, and way to small for todays trail standards....But if they still made em and made em in a 35....I'd run em on the jeep in a heartbeat...

I personally LOVE the coopers. Wet, dry, snow, ice they are awesome. So much so that we have a set on 3 out of 7 vehicles parked at our house lol

And Earl has a special permanent fondness for the dessert dogs  Grin
